Job Description
Tow Boat Operator

Period
1975 - 1978

Rex remembers June 1977 when a helicopter that serviced the lighthouse at Michaelmas Island put out a distress call. It went down and the towboat “Suzie Wong” with Rex Miller at the helm went out to rescue the occupants. There were three survivors and the helicopter with pontoons attached was towed to the whaling station.
