Bill was a foundation shareholder, a member of the Westerbeg family who started the station with the Birss family. Bill went to Collie in 1951 to dismantle tanks and helped transporting digesters etc. He worked on the chaser for one season and was not getting paid much. After the day’s catch he worked for extra money on the station as a flenser. He only worked for one season as he preferred fishing.
