Skeleton Exhibit


Giants of the Sea skeleton exhibitThe "Giants of the Sea" skeleton exhibit has been completely refurbished and now proudly displays the skeleton of the last Sperm Whale taken by the Cheynes Beach Whaling Company in 1978.

There is also a 22 metre long Pygmy Blue Whale skeleton (the largest whale skeleton in Western Australia), a Humpback Whale skeleton and a 2.7 metre Common Dolphin skeleton.

In addition, there are wall mounted whale species identification and migration charts.

The Exhibit, officially opened on 26th December 2005 by the Hon. Wilson Tuckey MP, is the result of funding from beneficiaries:- The Jack Family Charitable Trust and AusIndustry's Australian Tourism Development Programme. Giants of the Sea exhibit
